It seems the sun should be up at this time, but I have yet to see any signs of it rising.

Ah... But things are fine for now, at least. Is Ran-san doing alright?

[He'd honestly be surprised if he got something from Ran, but he does try to gift anyone he knows so he probably found a way to leave a picture of Heiji and Conan for her. (Specifically Heiji in a santa suit and Conan as a reindeer, YUP.) There's also a note attached saying if she ever wanted something else drawn, she could ask him. He wasn't sure if he had drawn something nice...]

I am glad they were enjoyed. I was worried with such a short notice it would be difficult... Ah, but that is quite fine, there is no need to give me anything. [He did notice that stutter though, but he's not sure if he should comment or ask about it]

I am glad to hear Ran-san is fine. So much has been happening, after all.

...It's true. This place always keeps us on our toes.

[She thinks back on the monsters that people were turning into, the craziness that ensured... in the midst of it all, she supposes she was at least glad that she was able to give Phoenix some food.

But now this, this pitch-darkness... Japan's supposed to be the land of the rising sun, isn't it? She wonders if this is bothering him as much as it does her.
