In a parallel universe (the one I initially travelled here from) the Bee Gees of all groups collaborated with Eric Clapton, Elton John and various others to create the soundtrack to a whimsical British cartoon series about a county cricket club for rabbits. Not only that, all the rabbits were voiced by then-members of the England cricket squad, the England football team and various English music stars and celebrities.
The name of the fictional rabbit team, the series, the album - The Bunbury Tails.

If you've ever read "The Egyptologist," some of the characters do something very similar to bunburying, by creating a fake schoolmate to convince their parents they're not gay.
