Huh. I was too busy having FEELINGS all over the place plus it was before work so I was all feels less logic. I'll watch it again and then see what I think. I never thought of Stiles leaving them in the bunker, I figured they all escaped (magically or did I miss a scene on the stream maybe?) / were let loose at the same time & he figured they'd either run / meet up w Derek.
I'm going to come back and leave a more coherent comment when it's not 5:30 am, but yes to all of this, especially what you said about Stiles--because holy shit this episode made me have bad feelings for Stiles, WHO I LOVE.
Jeff gave an interview and said very proudly that he had written most of these final episodes himself almost entirely--so there's your man chained to the typewriter. Hire some writers, dude.
Am very very tempted to link Jeff Davis to your review. I'm in agreement with you about this ep. Such a let down after a fantastic build-up. They should have used the entire episode to bring us half way through the story and taken the time to tell the story properly. I would've been okay with a cliff-hanger finale. Well, I wouldn't, but there would almost immediately be fic, so I would've been fine.

I spent a lot of this episode going o.O Was I missing something? Had I gone in with expectations that were too high? No, it was just meh. The Sheriff and Mama McCall were awesome as always, but just. so much. disjointed. STUFF.
I like Allison. I loved the idea of her being the textbook case of projection and taking her self-hate out on other people (and being set up for the breakdown to end all seventeen year old breakdowns), but really?
