Question!

Aug 14, 2012 16:54

I posted a fic three weeks-ish ago, and never got around to putting it up on any communities. I've been awful at cross-posting my stories lately (and by "lately" I mean for the last year, at least), so I would kinda like to. But it's been three weeks! So...

In other news, I bought my plane ticket to Wincon :D :D :D :D  Who else is going for sure?

I CLICKED THE WRONG BUTTON. I'M NOT USED TO THE NO BEING ON TOP.

No, my answer is yes! I accidentally clicked no at first and had to change it. And I couldn't remember if it let you see WHAT I picked.

If you haven't crossposted it at all, I say have at it! What I don't like is when somebody (at least one specific somebody I can think of) seems to post their story to one comm and then wait a week or two and post it to another comm and then another comm after another couple weeks. It's just enough time for me to be unsure at first sight if I've already read it and basically makes me want to send them a cease and desist. ;) But you should totally crosspost your fic so that more people read it for you are awesome.

Of course, when the "delayed" community is supernaturalfic, the delay is not necessarily the author's fault, per se...

Hah. Actually, I think I've been approving posts rather quickly for the past several months, with a few exceptions. ;)

Yeah, except when it gets bounced due to typo. I tend to take it really personally when that happens to me, so I don't post there anymore. It just ain't worth the pain.

DO IT. Seriously, if I see a fic cross-posted in a community AFTER I've seen it already posted elsewhere it doesn't bother me at all. Really, it's not that hard to scroll past it ;). And, if I've missed something posted by you, I'd really like that second chance to see it.

DONE.

Yeah, I was wondering how annoying it would be, seeing something and thinking it was new, only to discover you read it three weeks ago. Oh well, next time I'll make sure to cross-post in a more timely fashion :)

LOL. Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I have clicked on stories and realized that I've already read them. It may have induced a small pouty moment :D.
