good luck honey. I am the same, dying to get published and trying to write in Japan. Do you find that Japan sucks the creativity out of you? Its so odd to write here i swear it.
I do find I can't write in Japan! And it's terrible because I have a lot of free time. I also feel like Japan has ruined my English. Sometimes I'm afraid I've traded my writing talent to make myself understandable to the Japanese.
I think I'd actually like being the writing wife, you know? I'm kind of afraid I'll marry a writer, though.
I always get the feeling that what I'm writing is crap. But I've learned to push that voice deep, deep down. It helps to show my stuff to people, especially non-writers (my family's great for this.) When they get excited, I get excited.
The success of Twilight is further proof that the world is getting dumber. My book idea is kind of philosophical. I hope it can do ok...
I'm always worried about showing my stuff to people X______X I should do that more often. Maybe it would encourage me... the only thing I've been able to write lately is poetry, though. And even then, I end up cutting it down til it's a haiku.... when I think about the effort I'd have to put into a whole book vs a 3 line poem, my brain feels like its in a vice lol.
