It is not always the case where the kid gets to have his parent's abilities. Look at Claire and her biological parents: Nathan flies, Meredith creates fire. Some didn't even have abilities, like Simone and Mohinder. So it is not certain that Nathan is related to West :) Its been a big debate ever since Volume 2 premiered because of the repetition of powers. Other fans are thinking, maybe the writers have ran out of powers to use? haha. Whatever it is, I'm sure there's a reason behind it. I'm still excited, thankfully
