I have been waiting SO LONG for someone to say exactly this. Most of the people on my friends list aren't Hanson fans, so if I said it, it wouldn't be that big a deal, but I'm with you completely. The past few weeks it's seemed like everyone's got something to complain about, and for the past few days it's been like a hurricane with my sister because for one reason or another people are de-friending her or yelling at her or she's yelling at them, everyone's getting really up in arms about this. It's frustrating and it's sad.

You're right, this particular fandom is one of the most belligerant I've ever seen, which is not to insult anyone out there because every individual person has their own reason for believing and saying what they do. But y'know... half my friends list are Lord of the Rings/Billy Boyd/Dom Monaghan fans... they wouldn't dream of making such a fuss! I mean yeah, you get your random not-so-nice people once in a blue moon, but mostly these girls just revolve around loving you and being cool and telling you how

Wow, thank you Kit! I was really thinking about just deleting this entry after I had posted it, because I felt like it was just stupid bitching, LOL, but apparently, I actually made at least a bit more sense than I initially thought I had.

First off, I'm really sorry about what has been happening with Lily. :( Give her a big hug from me, please?

Belligerant is a wonderful word to describe Hanson fans. And maybe I don't notice this with other fandoms because there isn't a single one that I'm as involved in as I am with the Hanson fandom, but still. This shit is just NUTS.

I know I shouldn't let the album be ruined for me. And that was really probably a stupid over-exaggeration on my part to say what I did about that, but it has definitely put me in a sour mood. But I'll get over it. It just pisses me off that it got to this point to begin with, y'know?

The album is fucking brilliant. And idiotic, STUPID fangirls who dig manufactured, pro-tooled-to-death music think the album sucks because they just....god, they're so irrelevant. They don't even MATTER, and they'll end up being the downfall of this band.

The album is amazing, and the boys(men?) are brilliant as always.

Hey, I enjoyed the album. And the DVD. :)

Go read krystal0211's journal -- she's your kindred spirit in this. :) But, yeah. Way too much negativity going on nowadays. I don't think Hanson is perfect, but they are trying to please us, and that certainly counts for something.

I was actually just at her journal shortly before I ended up making this entry, hehe. I don't think they're perfect either, not at all, but like you said, they try and I think that definitely counts.
