I have been so beaten down with TV's typical crappy writing and inconsistent canon that I barely notice these types of things anymore.

I like your justification of this one!

I've sort of given up on it too, but me and my friend were really bored, and then we got realllyy in to this theory. lol.

Thank you! :)

It's an interesting theory but even Henry said that the further away from Eureka (which is in Oregon) the less effect the time line change has on others. Since WH13 is in South Dakota, I, personally, don't buy into the theory that Eureka's changed time line effected WH13's time line.

However, a friend & I were talking about this "magically appearing sister" issue and she wonders if there isn't some kind of artifact that has made everyone believe that Myka has a sister. Kind of like how on Buffy when Dawn (another magically appearing sister) showed up. Everyone on Buffy just "accepted" that Dawn was Buffy's younger sister even though Buffy had no siblings (that I recall - not being a big Buffy watcher).

Yeah, that's true. It's just a theory we had, because we were so bored we were on the verge of the threat of lighting things on fire just to have something to do. I'm still mind boggled and kind 'what?' about it though. However, wouldn't there have been something about there being an artifact effecting them? ( not stepping on toes, just asking) . It also seems like SyFy has been having some problems with timeline issues and continuity errors. In Sanctuary, they accidentally aired two episodes out of order, causing quite some confusion amongst fans.

It was just a theory I wanted to throw in the air.

Not if it's an unknown artifact. ;) There are artifacts out there that they don't know about.

You're not stepping on any toes any more than I am with my not buying the "time line change from Eureka effected WH13". ;)

I'm still of the opinion that Myka's sister died young, which is why no one brought her up before and why they referred to her exclusively in the past tense during the episode in question.

But this show has backstory issues out the wazoo anyway. (How old is Claudia this week, folks?)

That's my personal theory about Tracy too. I think she probably died young, maybe in high school or shortly afterwards, and then the line in Myka's father's book (which suggests she's an only child) was written after Tracy's death, which is why it only talks about keeping one daughter safe. (I also bet Tracy was older, which is why she got to be the girly girl and yet her dad was hoping for a boy even more the second time and instead got Myka, hence the further strain/disappointment in their relationship.)

sounds solid to me.

Given the "the farther away from Eureka" ripple effect theory, I kind of doubt that the Eureka timeline change resulted in Myka's sister ( ... )
