Given the "the farther away from Eureka" ripple effect theory, I kind of doubt that the Eureka timeline change resulted in Myka's sister.
However, it is a really cool idea and it would be a great way to explain Tracy and a lot of other retconned things this season (like Mykla suddenly having a thing for Twizzlers, when before she didn't eat sugar [unless she was nervous or something, I think]).
My personal theory had been that Tracy died and that the line from her father's book that Myka read in "Nevermore," which indicated she was an only child (since it stated "daughter" and not "daughters" plural), was written in the aftermath of Tracy's death when her father was feeling that his only job now was to keep Myka safe. But I think I just might like the time change idea much better.
I would love it if the shows crossed again and they somehow explained this using that explanation. (Yes, they have the ripple theory, but they could always create a tie further back in the shows' histories to make the Tracy change possible: i.e. for whatever reason, Myka's parents have ties to Eureka or someone from early Eureka.)
I also love the parallels between the shows this season: Dr. Grant is "a man out of time" and Helena Wells is a "woman out of time." And both brilliant inventors. (How cool would it be for them to compare notes? lol) Plus the whole computers taking over theme. (Tonight's Eureka episode reminded me of Pete's quote in "13.1" about the machines taking over and next thing you know, we're all in human breeding camps wearing fur bikinis. lol) Plus, Eureka is in need of a time machine and H.G. Wells is on the loose. It could be a wicked way for the two shows to come together in a finale crossover again.
