First time poster, long time lurker. I usually hang out around on Earthen Ring and their fancy RP Network. I recently stumbled onto this...

Wha...? First, all black dragons are magically linked to Deathwing, which is why they are ALL INSANE. Not just with Deathwing, but with the earth itself, and the Old Gods sealed within. And I don't think any Aspect has the power to just remove anything from their flight. That's like Velen magically severing a draenei's connection to the Naaru. It's just plain a part of who they are.

Deathy is very very sorry this is on his realm.

He is not, however, sorry that it seems to be Ally-side. Deathy prefers Horde... So there might be a good chance of seeing and killing him in a BG.

Oh boy, a "good black dragon".

For those not in the know, there actually is one in canon: Wrathion. Of course, he is a one in a million case, purified in the egg by a Titan device and protected by the hard work of the red dragons. In the quest chain revolving around him, it's explicitly stated that every other black dragon is crazy evil*. Basing your character idea around a one in a million exception is a terrible idea.

*Sabellian is about the only other black dragon that doesn't try to kill or manipulate people on sight.

I hope they do something neat with Sabellian some day and don't just kill him off stupidly like they have so many other grey area characters.

Earthen Ring is absolutely crawling with dragons waltzing around Stormwind, these days. It's as if dragons suddenly have absolutely nothing better to do than lounge around the Blue Recluse and have sexual relationships with human women. *shudder*

It's... oh boy. It's quickly going the way of WrA-Alliance, I'm afraid. That is: speshul-snowflake female Night Elf ArchDruids (three of them!), and Stormwind-dwelling dragons, and Felsworn bumming around the Blue Recluse in warlock horns and no pants, and magistrates who publicly whore around with Twilight Cultists, and... well, you get the idea.

A year ago, I would have said go for it. Now? Save yourself the grief.

Or join the server, and bless us with moar Sues!
