I come from a faraway country and I bring translations.

I thought my realm was full of self-declared elitists and pregnant teenage elf DKs, but lacked a greater population of weird hybrids, sekrit dargonz and poweremoting flags. Man, I was wrong ( Read more... )

flagrsp, silly name, godmode, kewl scars, fail at assassin, kewl tats, blood elf, blatant satire, freaky hybrid

"Ley/Mana identification". Translation: "I'm too lazy to RP out figuring out what your character does for a living".

Nice finds, and thank you for translating them!

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head ;) My little 'lock is 76 now and has yet to summon an demon IC, she even quests without them. I wonder what #4 would've made of that (aside from "You ruin my char concept!")

You're welcome, and don't hesitate to tell me when you find mistakes. I'm always trying to improve my English!

Oh, yeah, I always see the "she's always sad, except when she's not" kinda flags. I don't know what it is that makes people want to write like that. Of course everyone is happy, angry, sad, until they're not.

It must be the water. I have seen some very interesting flags in TB, too, always fishing.

Also, translating is hard :(

But that would be logical. And make sense. And... you know, all those bad things that we don't want in our RP.

I guess it's those Azshara fishes the goblins keep putting into the water. They make everyone hallucinate. I should watch my little warrior closely after the next fishing daily, she might mistake herself for a halfsomething - or for an assassin.

Oh, translating! I saw in your profil that you're learning Japanese - that's a fascinating language and I hope you have fun :) I gave up when we reached the kanji, I just couldn't keep them apart *hangs head in shame*

I have to keep an eye on my tauren! I bet those misguided goblins dumped something in the water to make the fish bigger or something. She might go all emo D:

I need to update my profile. I stopped studying Japanese, too. I'm Spanish-English bilingual, and I'm taking classes to get government certified in translation. And it is HARD. My assignments are usually about a page long, and it takes me an hour or two to translate them, proof-read them, and make them so they don't look so translatey :D

Wow, that sounds tough - but interesting! Do you need a certificate so that you can legally work as a translator? Here in Germany, you don't exactly need one, but there are translator schools and the university in my neighbour town offers classes in literature translation. I thought about working in this field, too, but the languages I'd like aren't offered anywhere in my area. So I went back to studying something else ;)
