I vaguely remember something about Mark not being able to return to heaven, and somehow I was under the impression that Jake took his place.

I'm sorry, this amuses me because my first thought is "it's Micchan! Of course they like him her!" But I'm not sure it exactly constitutes a "get into heaven free" pass. ;-D Then again, maybe Jake just assumed he was going to hell, but didn't necessarily...?

Anyway, like Kya said, I love the 'Zuka logic of souls moving around and body-switching and taking someone else's place in the afterlife and such. X3

Sometimes I wonder if Micchan is capable of playing a truly evil character, but then again I’ve been surprised at her range before. I also get the impression that The Second Life got progressively sillier as production moved along. The initial blurb just talked about a man who lived two very different lives. I didn’t even realize at the time that it was a comedy. The first long summary included some of the crack, but made it sound somewhat more serious and I think Don Vincent was supposed to have sent Mark-in-Jake’s body on a hit man mission. But by the time we got to the version that was actually performed… XD
