Soooooooo I watched Mei-chan no Shitsuji last night.
Actually in two parts last night and the day before.
God, this show, I'm still like oh my god why do you even exist ^^;;;
It's like
ruderal_species said -- this production is like an anime musical, just a bunch of caricatures / manga stereotypes running around on a stage. (
Without any kind of moral message at the end to make it a worthwhile story. )

While you have a point about lacking of huge moral lessons, I do think the show was quite fun. I enjoyed it enough to watch it more than once. Then again, I am an anime musical fan, so... XD;;

So Shuu-chan can has Linez? :D
Stories like this and Twilight basically teach young girls that they should dream of a handsome, mysterious older man to appear in their lives who is obsessed with them and follows them around everywhere.
I don't even understand why this is anyone's fantasy. Daddy issues? :/
Disappointed by MiyaRuri though.
Aw, that's probably my fault. I thought she was totally adorable. To me it was like, "If I'm gonna be Anime Boy Stereotype #5, I'm gonna be THE ULTIMATE Anime Boy Stereotype #5!"
You can always count on Beni for an adorabley weepy ending speech. Wasn't it the one for ScaPim Shinko where she said, "Hontou ni!" so many times that everyone else on stage started cracking up?
