I think most people kinda already knew this, but now it seems to have been officially announced that Ostroff wants SPN to continue past S6. "Everybody on the show feels there's a lot of juice left in the characters. We hope it goes on for more than one season." - Dawn Ostroff quoted on Entertainment WeeklyWelp. Honestly unless it really blows me ( Read more... )

tv: true blood, oh how i laughed, the idiot box, tv: supernatural

Yeah I'm having trouble seeing how they're going to keep it going. Especially considering how lacking in juice S5 was (S4 I'll give was fairly juicy, just awfully executed/written/planned) But I would honestly be so happy if release from its angel apocalypse blah blah shackles really does breathe some new life back into the show. :/ (Aw, has Leverage gone bad? I haven't caught up on it in ages but I've been meaning too D:)

SUCKY IS MAAAAAAHHHHHN. As barthi says, we lol'd. :D

I AM ALREADY FEELING QUITE INVESTED IN ITS RIDICULOUSNESS! It helps that barthi loves it and thus keeps drip-feeding me exciting things to come. "One time Bill digs himself out of the ground and Sookie is there and then they DO IT RIGHT THERE ON THE GROUND!" - actual quote.

I was just thinking how sad it makes me that I will just not watch season four when it runs reruns on TNT. Like, not always! But there are so many episodes where I'm like, ehhhh, it's not worth the energy it takes to get up and go to the TV. Sometimes (*cough*therapturegodthatepisodeissoboringidekthename*cough*) I will actually change the channel because certain things (*cough*castielsface*cough*) bore me so much. Whereas I will go OUT OF MY WAY to watch the most horrifically bad episodes of s1 to s3. I CAN'T GO TO THE STORE, SAM AND DEAN ARE FIGHTING A RACIST TRUCK. GOD.

Anyway.

OH CHASH I MISS THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF RACIST TRUCKS :( dammit why isn't Castiel a truck. That would have made The Rapture so much more interesting (man I need to get my arse in gear and start doing Plankstiel again D: in the Rapture strip Plank's family are BEDSIDE FURNITURE.) But yes, where were we, there are one or two bad episodes from 1-3 that I'll let myself not watch - or sometimes watch specifically to get angry GODDAMN YOU BEN BRAEDEN - but I don't think there's a single episode from S4 or 5 that I've rewatched of my own accord :

Ostroff is a bitch and I'm taking everything she says with a grain of salt. I don't know what she did to coherce them into a season 6, especially because BOTH Jared and Jensen said they didn't want to do it and would need trucks of money. So either they got a sweet pay raise or Dawn promised them harems of men women or something idk.

You say you like it because of accents but none of those accents are real. It's like 95% of the actors are British or Australian and they completely exaggerate their accents. It's one of those shows that just keep getting better though. I watched the first couple of episodes when they first came out and I thought it was the dumbest shit but season 2 was great with Godric and now season 3 with Alcide.

Idk, natch I don't trust Ostroff as far as I can throw her, but I've been hearing things about MOAR SEASONS for months now on the dl. Perhaps all of the budget cuts over the years were actually money being siphoned off into sweet & persuasive pay rises for the Js. CONSPIRACY!

Hahaha oh ik ik but just as most Americans I know don't have the ear to pick up a Fake!British Actor Accent from the real ones, True Blood accents sound juuuuust fine to me. I'm looking forward to meeting Godric! If nothing else so I can stop mentally picturing him as Godric Gryffindor (that was a confusing period in my life, let me tell you.)

Ugh, idek what to think of that. I was one of those people who didn't want a season 6 in the first place, and then when it came along I was super relieved I didn't have to say goodbye to my favorite loser brothers yet. But I came reaaaaally close to letting go a couple times this season, so... I really hope we don't get a season 7, and man, season 6--PLEASE BE GOOD (she begged, without much hope).

I hope you do better with True Blood than I did! Man, I watched the first nine episodes and started out loving it--I mean, THE SETTING, THE CINEMATOGRAPHY, THE MUSIC!! SO AWESOME--but then I still wasn't really attached to any of the characters I had started out being so excited about, so I couldn't be bothered to keep watching. :( Fingers crossed it goes better for youuuuu! Because vampires in the South, I mean, what's not to like?
