So at about 10pm last night I heard some explosions. I thought they were just fireworks, as this is the kind of area where people randomly set off fireworks sometimes, but something about the last one made me think maybe it wasn't a firework after all. I went to the window to investigate and then the power went out! I heard some people running away

Everything seems to be fine! Admittedly I haven't actually left my bed yet, so maybe there is a burning crater across the street that I HAVE YET TO DISCOVER. I don't think whatever happened actually involved gas, as a) we were not evacuated and b) something that exciting would surely be in the local news! But the headline is about the royal family, so prooobably no gas things happened last night.

It's funny because there ACTUALLY IS a pasty factory not too far away. But still too far away for any pasty explosions to affect my street's electricity, alas.

Once when I lived in Basingstoke some lorries exploded and then the whole rubbish tip exploded, it was very excited. It was 2001 and I thought Iraq had come to bomb us hahaha
