I want to write five million Ruby stories to fuck the haters, except they won't read them. This is the kind of mood I get in that makes me do shit like write Sam/Gert. I SHOULD WRITE MORE SAM/GERT AND ALSO A HUNDRED BELA STORIES AND KILL OFF BOBBY. Repeatedly, because NO ONE ELSE IS GOING TO.

There's a bit of speculation on my flist right now on the weird, obsessive parallels between Ruby/Sammich and Bellatrix/Voldiebeans, and I think it is totally fucking spot on. That was pretty much the way I envisioned them for next season, really - Sam as the soulless evil overlord, Ruby as his utterly deranged, bloodthirsty henchdemon, &c. But, uh. No Dean on a broomstick in dorky glasses.
It might have even gone the other way around, with Ruby being the Voldietype, considering how thoroughly she masterminded Sam's entire LIFE. 8D But now we will never know, thanks to a) her big secret being revealed, and b) her death. Alas.
I want to love Ruby, I really do. (And I DID, in S3.) I think as a character, she has so much going for her -- so many layers and conflicting emotions/motivations and snarky humor and oh yeah SHE'S HOT. And I agree that she gets way too much abuse based solely on the fact that she's a girl that gets to touch Sam/Jared (-__-). But the not-so-surprising ~*PLOT TWIST REVEAL*~ that she was sekritly evil the whole time felt really contrived to me. Maybe 'cuz I was still holding out on the hope that we'll find out more about Ruby the Human (when she was a witch and all that jazz), and get a glimpse of what drove her to turn to the Dark Side (lol). When the boys stabbed her, yes, it was hot and yes, I totally cheered, but I also felt like it was the most blatant fanservice/pandering I've ever seen on the show.
