Duke had gone missing on a mission. That's all Sam knew or could be told. That they were searching for him hoping he was still alive. A few weeks passed and there was still no word.

Duke had known this was going to happen eventually. At least it had been a short mission and everything had gone well. It wasn't until 4am that he got back to Brooklyn. Figuring it was too late to call he went home to his apartment and slipped in. He stripped down and went and stepped into the shower.
