August 29th: I swear, school eats you soul

Hmm, that sounds kinda backwards for a religious school doesn't it, I mean, they SHOULD be the last group to try and eat your school? Then again, there are some people who are of the opinion that all organized religion eats your soul ( Read more... )

Princess Tutu was a gem to watch~ though I'm not wholly accustomed to watch it through a PC screen than a television, it was quite a wonderful series. I loved how it integrated a rather complex plot and pretty much added its own rendition of the roles (which is rather nice). The references of various tales, stories, and the such were quite fun too~ (I think I had a kick out of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer's Night Dream" references in one particular episode).

I believe you'll enjoy the series a lot~ I believe a AMV finally got me to watch the series in its entirety while I saw the first in a sampler DVD. ^^;

Good luck with senior year~ it seems you'll be busy this time around (I somehow managed to juggle that with things I wanted to do amidst the year.. at least that's what I can recall).

I've seen about half the series, I stopped after the first season since I wanted to watch it, you know, legally by renting, but our netflix queue is so long (heck, we're over half way through FMA and it's every other DVD on the list but I'm not expecting to finish it before October) that I think I might have to find it online again. Princess Tutu for me wins the weirdest anime I have watched award, hands down, but I do like the, subplot?, about roles and following or not following them.

I would do the legal route.. but then I'd probably have to pay fines due to late returns nor the confidence of being able to watch the DVD ASAP. I remember seeing the Princess Tutu dubbed version on their official site as streams, but I'm not even sure it would be on the arc you're on.

Haha, the weird element is excused from me mainly because I saw it as another rendition of a mesh of fairytales/fables/etc. If I ever watch the series, I think FLCL will (probably) win the weirdest anime I've seen award... that's only if I watch it. I've read the manga rendition though. ^^;

I've seen the Japanese voices subbed and I also like the weirdness of it, but I can't say that Princess Tutu without cracking up, it is simply the silliest name ever, but my friends say that FLCL (that is Fooley Cooley right or am I mixing it up?) is really strange as well. Reminds me, I really want to make an Ahiru (as a duck) plushie, and I do have lots of nice yellow fleece, but no time dangit!
