15+ how would you rewrite their narratives?

OH! Oh reeeeeallllly!!!! That's gonna take some thinkin'...! Also, I'm gonna have to narrow it down to FIVE?!! ALSO, also, I feel like a couple of characters fit the vast majority of these numbers, in hindsight! Haha!

ONE | Izzie Stevens | Grey's Anatomy | Ghost!Sex
IF I COULD TURRRRRN BACK TIIIIIMEEE. IF I COULD FIIIIND A WAY... I'd TAKE BACK GHOST SEX. I'd make it so it never existed. I'd make it so that Ghost!Sex wasn't a universally recognised term!! And that people didn't IMMEDIATELY think of My QUEEN when they heard it. Everything else in that storyline can stay, just take out the ghost sex and all the repercussions that came from it.

TWO | Gail Peck | Rookie Blue | Pretty much everything from the start of season four...
I feel like the worst kind of fangirl saying this, but seriously, Gail's narrative post her hook up with Holly, and maybe even just before then, has completely shredded her character. I mean, SHE IS CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF ADOPTING A CHILD WE HAVE BARELY MET. THAT SHEEEE HAS BARELY MET. It seriously ( ... )

Goddamit, Graceland. I knew there was a reason I let all those episodes pile up on my tivo.

Oh, GOD. I have such a weird relationship with that show at the moment!! I really enjoyed season one. I thought it was a perfect combination of light and serious and dangerous and sexy and fun and silly. BUT THIS SEASON? HOMG!!! It has gone completely off the rails and my investment in the characters is basically NON-EXISTENT and I am hanging out (and THOROUGHLY ENJOYING MYSELF IN A REALLY WEIRD WAY!!) in order to watch the WHOLE THING BURN TO THE GROUND. It's really hard to describe without giving the impression that I'm annoyed. Or that I don't like it.

I think the writers have made STUPID decisions, and the majority of the charaters are basically unrecognisable. But not that they've 'gone there' the only possible outcome is UTTER DEVASTATION and I, for one, am looking forward to it! The finale is this week... how far behind are you?

I'll start with 11, but probably do 6 as well. I'm easy like that...!

Okay, so. Ladies I'll Love 'Til The End Of Time

ONE | Izzie Stevens | Grey's Anatomy
ARE YOU SURPRISED?!!!!!!!! MY FAVOURITE OF ALL THE FAVOURITES! I COULD META ABOUT THIS SILLY CHICKEN FOR THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF WORDS. IN FACT, I HAVE METAED ABOUT THIS SILLY CHICKEN FOR THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF WORDS!!! She is my Queen. Forever and ever, Amen.

TWO | Katherine Pierce | The Vampire Diaries
QUEEN NUMBER TWO. Again, this will be a surprise to approximately NO-ONE!! I loved her from the VERY MOMENT IN (I believe) EPISODE FOUR OF SEASON ONE WHERE IT BECAME EXPLICITLY CLEAR HOW MUCH SHE HAD ~SCREWED WITH THE SALVATORES. I mean, we weren't to meet her until episodes later, but from that moment on, she became MY FAAAAAAVOURITE. I officially quit the show when she died. I mean, I'd kinda been in and out for a while, but I've not watched a single episode since she was dragged into hell. AND EFF YOU, TOO.

THREE | Skyler White | Breaking ( ... )

"I love the way she stood and watched Aynsley choke to death in season one."

Okay... why? I've seen this expressed before and it seems to be thing. I don't get it. (I haven't seen season two, though. Partially because I disliked the way that element of season one was handled so much.)

I know Allison thought Aynsley as her watcher at that point, but she didn't know for sure and I can't see her choice of innaction as anything other than passive murder. And I felt like the show played it for humour, because Aynsley was just a vapid housewife and thus who gives a shit if she dies horribly and needlessly?

What was it about that that made you love Allison? If you don't mind explaining?

Okay, first, you thought it was played for the LOLs? Wow. This is SO incredibly NOT my reaction to it. Admittedly, I have nothing to do with fandom, so I had no idea that was the prevailing opinion, but yikes. I did NOT get a comedy vibe from that scene, neither on my first viewing, nor on my recent re-watch.

Secondly, I also didn't get the vibe that Aynsley was being portrayed as the vapid housewife. Not at all. If anything, I think CHAD had that role. And I freaking loved Aynsley/Chad from the moment they appeared. And Aynsley and Chad as individual characters.

As for why I loved the scene (and obviously what I'm about to say is heavily rooted in my two points above); that was because I loved what it told us about Alison. Her ruthlessness. The glimpse it gave us into what was to come/what she could be capable of given the right circumstances. I was utterly shocked by the scene when it aired (and on my rewatch). I found it uncomfortable and intense. Whether it was passive murder or not (is that even a thing?), I have no idea, nor ( ... )

Okay! I WILL!!

Actually, I'ma give you TWO sleepover/dinner party options because that's how I roll!

Firstly, I probably need to clarify to you (someone relatively new to my flist) the depths of my unwavering devotion to the first three/four(ish) seasons of Grey's Anatomy. Liiiiike... it's kinda worrying. And the only reason I've let myself sink to the depths I have reached is because there are a couple of other ladies on my flist who have HELD MY HAND THE WHOLE WAY THERE. Grey's is what brought me to LJ and what started me writing fanfic. And the first three seasons in particular (though I have a soft spot for the season four finale) are my absolute GO-TO television.

SO! On that note:

My first sleepover will be | Izzie Stevens + Meredith Grey + Cristina Yang + Addison Montgomery + Callie Torres. AND ME.
And it will be the last thing I'll ever do (so, in hindsight, can we make this my SECOND sleepover?!) because my mind will ACTUALLY BLOW. The end. Either that or the tequila will get me!! You can not even begin to fathom how ( ... )

I've stalked your LJ on occasion, so I do actually know of the depths of your love

BUT YAY, fun sleepover. I loved the early seasons of Grey's, and these girls were a huge part of why I did ♥

Oh, that's a v. powerful group of women, I mean, the ones I know. I approve of that. WE COULD ALL LEARN SO MUCH FROM THEM.

ONE | Katherine Pierce | The Vampire Diaries
I'm pretty sure you're the last person I need to explain this to, right?!

TWO | Skyler White | Breaking Bad
Easily my second favourite character of the series given how BEAUTIFULLY her arc was written/acted/handled. Everything about it was glorious. She was the perfect foil for Walt and he was the perfect foil for her. No one else could have handled them in those latter seasons. When she freaking walked into that pool to build an alibi in front of Hank and Marie. I mean, YES. If I'd been in doubt about her SKILLZ prior to then (though I hadn't really!), then that was the moment it all clicked into place. Four point five seasons of crafting, all leading up to those last few episodes of WONDERMENT.

THREE | Rachael Duncan | Orphan BlackQuite possibly my favourite character of season two, tbh. Just, WOW. And so incredibly well portrayed by Tatiana. She managed to horrify me and completely make me want to take her in a give her a hug, OFTEN IN THE SAME SCENE. So, so, SO screwed up. I can't ( ... )

Ooh, awesome answers :).

1. LOL yes. I would have been very very surprised if she wasn't here.

2. Ooh she sounds awesome.

3. AFUKSHKDH. Yes, so complex and yes feeling all the things from one extreme to the other in the same scene. The whole thing when her father died GAH, so gloriously done.

4. Kate is back? Didn't she die? I really need to catch up too. I don't even know what season I'm on.

5. Ooh, that is an interesting villain choice. I really like her too. Ah yes, the passive aggressive of win.

2. Ooh she sounds awesome.

UM, EXCUSE ME. WHY DOES THIS ANSWER MAKE IT SEEM LIKE YOU DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW WHO SKYLER WHITE IS?! HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE THAT I HAVE NOT (figuratively) SAT YOU DOWN AND MADE YOU WATCH BREAKING BAD??!!! HOWWWWWWWW?!! I FEEL LIKE THIS IS AN INDICTMENT ON MY CHARACTER. ON MY POSITION AS A MEMBER OF YOUR FLIST. HOW HAS IT GOT TO THIS?!!! There are some people on my flist who I wouldn't immediately think to promote Breaking Bad to because I know it is not for everyone. BUT I DEFINITELY THINK IT PROBABLY WOULD BE FOR YOU!

OMG, I HAVE FAILED AS A PERSON.

4. Kate is back? Didn't she die? I KNOW, RIGHT! My mind was blown. I guess that's supernatural shows for you though! (And not even only supernatural shows if we're being honest!).

Thank you! I love it too! And I'm lucky that there's a music station that plays lots and lots of it all the time. Yay!

Okay, number 12. Okay, to clarify, I understand being pissed your fave got killed off and wishing for something different/better for them for reasons that actually have nothing to do with the fact that their actual ending was poorly written etc. But I don't think that's what this question is asking, so, despite that some of my faves DO pop up in this, I have tried my hardest to be analytical and not KEYSMASH about my answers!! (Though, there will probably be SOME keysmash!).

ONE | Katherine Pierce | The Vampire Diaries
I won't elaborate too much because I know you haven't watched TVD, but Katherine's ending was a travesty of epic proportions. I mean, THEY CREATED A HELL DIMENSION JUST TO SEND HER TO IT!! The Madonna/Whore dichotomy between Elena (main protagonist) and Katherine had been RIFE since the pilot, and really, this was just them cementing that.

TWO | Izzie Stevens | Grey's AnatomyI have to explain this ( ... )
