This is beautiful, and the reader is pulled right in to the inescapable sorrow of what the narrator must go through-- no matter how terrible or disorienting, and no matter how much she wishes she didn't have to.

Thank you so much!! I'm really nervous about my 'style' because I know it can get a bit heavy sometimes (the short piece format of this challenge works in my favour though, I think), so I'm glad that this worked for you. Phew!!

I'm curious, too! Well, I have a couple of ideas, it really depends on two things:

1) what the next prompt is
2) how brave I am...!

I have grand illusions of some kind of magical realism type... something, only, I'm not convinced I could pull it off.
