Re. TVD - 4x02 made me hopeful. 4x03 shat all over my hope. I basically only seem to care about Damon in this show anymore? And that's about it? The originals are actually a joke, and I'm really not worried about "the five" because, well, if the originals are anything to go by, then it'll all end with them holding a keg party and involving themselves in teen wolf drama.

Ah ha! And now, in hindsight, seeing that I added a whole heap of new episode spoilers in my reply to you, it was excellent work on your part! Thanks for that!!

Katherine is definitely above what's going on in Mystic Falls at the moment. She is no doubt off being entirely fabulous somewhere else. Probably with Izzie Stevens.

I actually, honestly think the single most consistently written character on this show has ~always been Elena. I just don't think the writers GET how consistently they write her, or how at odds with their more than obvious intentions she comes across. And by that I mean, I don't think their consistency is deliberate!! I think it's simply a result of her position on the (ridiculously unnecessary) pedestal she's been placed on.

a "bad" arc for a character is not actually bad if they deem the character to be "good," WORD! And we all know Elena is deemed as even 'better' than "good" so... I mean, her Greatest Flaw is that she Cares Too Much and is Too Compassionate. This is a canon statement that has been made on

I like to think it was intentional loltasticness, or maybe it's just episode three magic; what is with this show and its awesome episode 3's. Everything was just hilarious. Rebekah and Elena fighting should be a thing.

Rebekah and Elena going all Mean Girls was the best part of the episode, tbqh!! That and the motorcycle scene of LAUGHING SO HARD I PEED A LITTLE!

Rebekah and Elena was the best part for me too. And the only thought I had during the motorcycle scene was; TVD the show that gives us VAMPIRES WEARING HELMETS, and thinking about crackfic that could be written to the gods of vampires wearing helmets.

There were moments of TVD that I loved this week and moments that had me seriously rolling my eyes. And I missed Bonnie (I know, I'm the only one who did).

You're not at ALL the only one who missed Bonnie! I guess I can mostly take her or leave her but that's only because her storylines are always train wrecks and she's treated AWFULLY by the writers. I freaking love the IDEA of Bonnie, what we usually get is something very far from that!! But yeah, there's plenty of people on my flist who've already bemoaned the lack of Bonnie this episode.

Also, did you watch Grey's? Stupid question, I know.... I've been pretty much really enjoying this season so far, but this episode was kinda boring. I love Katherine [what is it about that name?!!], and Jackson is my new favourite still, but I didn't love it as much as I've loved the previous episodes.

Yes, I just did right now! I love when Debbie Allen guest stars too, and she has great family chemistry with Jesse Williams. They're an interesting dynamic. (AND APRIL AND JACKSON AND ALL THE FEELS FOREVER AND EVER.) I feel like Grey's has a pattern of a very highly emotional episode, followed by a 'lighter' ep, and so on and so forth.

I don't think Bonnie's storylines are generally awful, just she gets about a quarter of the follow-up she needs/deserves.

I went and saw Mumford and Sons on Tuesday night.

I saw them live once and it was at Notting Hills Arts Club which is just a club in a basement so it wasn't even proper live. Also, they were really confused -- they hadn't finalised any of their material and it was meant to be from their new album but the basically all tracks they did from new the album, except "Ghosts That We Knew", had been significantly tweaked.

AND IT WAS STILL AWESOME.

Your night must have been awesomer though, for ~reasons. SO YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

Aaron Paul continues to be a perfect human being. This is no longer news.

Your pimping of my recaps and my fanvid is just ridiculously nice and you don't have to, but thank you so much. I just can't bring myself to go on BB hiatus. It's still only 5 months ago that this show first came into my life so I'm in the Honeymoon period still I guess. I'm glad my fan raving is appreciated!

I'm still so jealous over that concert. I've been playing Babel on a loop on my Ipod ever since it came out. Even when I'm not listening to it I want to scream out 'A LOVER OF THE LIGHT!' everywhere I go.

(I jumped on board mid-season three and watched the first two seasons in about three days!!).

You are lucky you got into it earlier! I wish someone had forced S1 on me three years ago. How I have been wasting my time with inferior shows. *sigh* I watched S1-S4 within two weeks! :)
