First point: You do not yet have a character to the point where character customization VIA talents truly begins to take hold. You receive your first points at level 10, so by level 30 you only have 21 points invested in any given specialization. This is, in some cases, only 4 talents - and often the "starter" talents are simple things like mana conservation on specific spells, etc. I assure you that by level 60, the talent system will present significant differences between your chosen path and the folks that go other directions. For instance, my druid used to be very heal-centric and killing things by myself was atrocious/interminable. Now, my build is a hybridization of restoration and feral talents, and I kill things FAR faster when I unleash my inner animal. The fact that I didn't lose TOO much healing ability is what made me pull the trigger on the respec. In essence, give the WoW system time and you WILL see character customization - just don't expect it to be amazingly obvious by level 30 ( ... )

I guess I just don't like the restrictions of class based system. It would be neat to jump from a warrior class to start getting some spell casting skill sets, and then focusing back on casting again. Have some skills that are only available to a person based on faction or whatever.

The spawn thing sounds cool, pretty much what I've been talking about.

Age of Conan will have a similar thing. Set up a guild city, and an NPC city will start to be built near you - and they'll set up siege gear and the such to come after you.

As for Dynamic Spawns, I love Tabula Rasa's - they'll be having things like drop pods and the such come crashing down to drop off more bad guys! The regular "zones" where you battle for control points in that game reminded me a lot of the "future" in Terminator movies...
