What have I gotten myself into?
Okay. So. It started with yuletide, because rare fandoms need more love and I've been meaning to join ever since I heard about it last year. Fine. I can write 1,000 words by Christmas, no problem. NaNoWriMo veteran here.
But then there was spn_illuminated. I never got into the idea of big bangs, but the image of fanfics as illuminated manuscripts finally won me over. ( Read more... )

Have you looked at smallfandomfest and smallfandombang? I'm doing the bang (only 10K words). I'm pimping my fav small fandom on the fest, and may or may not do anything with their prompt fest. I'm also doing yuletide ;)
I find the spn_illuminated idea interesting, because I actually re-create medieval illuminated manuscripts as awards in the SCA. But I'm not quite sure how to parlay that into SPN art....

Oh, who am I kidding? I'll probably end up doing it. I swear, since I started being active on LJ these fanfic challenges are like crack. :)
Re-creating illuminated manuscripts sounds like the coolest job ever, I gotta say.

But if you do art, you could still sign up to do that! They are pretty desperately in need of artists, too.
