Living for myself

I haven't been very kind to myself lately. I've been really frustrated with not working, and gradually all the little frustrating things I come across day-to-day have become bigger because of this congregation of frustration. But the only way to deal with all of that is to let it all go and remember that none of the day-to-day stuff is who I am. I  ( Read more... )

Thanks. That really helps. Nothing ever goes as you expect, does it? I'm always thrown something new when I feel like I'm starting to get used to things. But I have so many amazing people around helping me.

I'm sorry I still haven't managed to meet up with you. I'm going home for the holidays to Michigan but I'll be back the 30th. Any New Year's plans? I <3 you too!

i'll be in TN till the 4th, but i'm not doing any theatre these days (yet!) so i've got free time. i'll just start calling you like a stalker until you give in. mwahaha etc.

I've been feeling the same way a lot. Everyone seems to be frustrated with not working, and I've been doing a lot of trying to figure out what I'm doing with my life. I think you're right that the day-to-day frustrations aren't who you are, and the idea of listening to yourself is an excellent one. You may not have meant this as advice, but it's good advice nonetheless.

It's crazy how just venting a bit helps so much. And crazy how I find out I can give myself advice.
