so avoid it. i do. i never see it. in fact until this post, i'd forgotten about it. i always go to my susandennis.livejournal.com/feed page directly. from there i can read my friends list, log in if i need to and even post. i never see the live journal home page at all
I haven't seen it in years. I know I actively killed it but I don't remember exactly how. I think there was an option that said "Don't show me this anymore."
Because, I do agree with you completely. It is stupid.
Like the others here, I have a link that goes straight to my inbox. If I'm not logged in, it prompts me to log in and then takes me to my inbox. On the occasion that I do end up on livejournal.com and see some of those posts, I honestly don't know who any of the people they are talking about. I don't know who the famous people are anymore.
I'm getting old... All pop singers of the 21st century are either Britney Spears, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, or Jason Mraz & all 'groups' are the Backstreet Boys, or All Saints - they're all cast from those moulds & I'm convinced the songs & videos are assembled, cut'n'paste style, from about 4 basic templates as well... no matter what country they come from
Of course people always get mad at me when I say it all started with T-Rex and Kiss where people got more excited about the makeup they wore on stage than their songs.
Haha I have been vaguely aware it's big on LJ, probably because I've been to the homescreen at some point but by and large I entirely bypass the home screen and always just go straight to my livejournal or my friends page. But yeah, seems pretty vacuous! It's a bit disturbing that it's apparently the most popular thing on LJ
