I got home last night around 11:30. I'll probably get around to writing a more detailed post about the trip sometime in the near future.

In a nutshell: We had fun, the New English are weird, and Ulysses finally made it to Ithaca.

Mom and I went bargain hunting for apartment stuff today. There was a citywide yard sale in Keego Harbor, so we got a bunch of cheap stuff. And also we went to some furniture stores. Our purchases:

While cleaning off my desk, I came across a letter from Comcast addressed to:CURRENT RESIDENT

Missives from Comcast are always good for a laugh. Cable is included in our residence costs, so every month I get a bill from Comcast for $0.00. I'll miss those when I don't live here anymore.

Jason, don't use the elevators in our building. I just got stuck in one for probably at least fifteen minutes, and some burly guy had to wedge the doors open like they do in the movies.

Nothing stirs the senses like a fire alarm at 2:30 a.m.

Nothing says "home" like the gust of hot air that emerges from a heavily furnaced room that's been closed for a week.
