Stargate the movie

I borrowed a copy of the Stargate movie dvd from confettiofstars and finally got around to watching it tonight. I haven't seen it in awhile. It's actually one of the few science fiction movies my father can abide. He's far too much of an old school sf fan. One thing that struck me was my memory playing tricks on me. I remembered the scene at the beginning with

Yeah, the WWII stuff is somewhere in the first three seasons of the show. I think it's in the first season, but it could be later. I watched a lot of the show all at once.
