So I'm in the home stretch before going off to Media West con. Thank god! I am so ready for a vacation at this point. I will have the laptop again this year and will be posting both here and my personal journal. I'm only on one panel this year, ironically on Canadian television. I figure I have the crime dramas covered. I'm nowhere close to getting

Sunday isn't on this weekend? I didn't realise the gates were off for a week. How did I miss that on the ads?

Have I mentioned how much I hate these flipping half seasons? They're getting really irritating, especially for smaller shows trying to build momentum.

I read that "Heroes" had suffered a ratings drop when it came back from it's hiatus. If even hot shows like "Heroes" suffer rating drops, you'd think the networks/cable channels would get a clue and stop shooting themselves in the foot with the damn things. Argh.

From what I understand, "Lost" is running their episodes straight through next year, but they're shortening the traditional number of episodes, too. "Heroes" is using the Origins spinoff I think for their hiatus. Hopefully, though, the regular networks are getting a clue on that front. I know even Tanya Huff was pissed at Lifetime calling the last episode the "season finale" when it's the midway point. Sci Fi Channel will probably never change their ways though.

*sighs* I remember when B5 aired first in Britain and then in the US for the second season. The old Compuserve board used to be impossible to avoid.
