Down here in Albion, we have Juncos all year around. They do sort of migrate back into the redwoods during the summer to breed, but we still get a few now and again out in the meadow.

Our exciting new bird here was a male hooded oriole. Very fancy.

Nice. I put out some orange slices last year but I think we are too far in the woods for many birds. I've yet to see a bluebird on our acre but I've seen them about two miles from here in Fort Bragg. I'm hoping the additional nest boxes with larger holes that I put out this season will entice a few new species.
We've never had a starling despite the fact that they seem to be everywhere.
