Wilson's and Townsend's warblers

Apr 06, 2010 16:00

A female Wilson's warbler was just eating from our suet feeder.
Yesterday I observed a male Townsend's warbler searching for insects in a grand fir near the house.
I visited my daughters in Eureka last weekend and both of their bird houses have chickadee nests. I haven't seen any chickadee activity here for a while, so far just the three nests being excavated a while ago. I haven't seen then carrying moss in yet.
There are still lots of Oregon juncos around. Did I just not notice them last year? I thought they migrated north of here to breed.
