There's a story that the first bank to go down in the Great Depression was owned by Jews and the other banks were off put enough by that alone that they let them go, not realizing it would start a cascade.

On NPR once, I heard an elderly black man tell about his youth where he'd joined the Boy Scouts. He was always pressed to find that good deed to do each day and was always looking for opportunities. One day he saw a woman with a cane having a devil of a time crossing a street. He offered his arm to her and she thanked him. When they reached the island, she tried to look at him closely and asked, "Are you black or white?"
When he answered, "I'm black, ma'am," she let go of him and told him to get away from her.
He said, he'd been aware of racism but that was the first time he realized it was so deep that she'd rather be in the middle of the street, blind, than accept another 30 seconds of his help.

Yeah, the Republican's are really acting like the woman in the middle of the street.

So have I. Except that I don't wantto make it worse I figure I can make sure to wear slidey shoes and that would be good. but it has to stop hurting first, even though it doesn't hurt much right now and I last took Alleve on Tuesday morning.
