D'awwww! I like the balance here. It shows how much she misses all her activity with flounder and her bantering with Sebastian, but at the same time, this is what she wanted and she is grateful... it's just hard not being near friends and family.

Also, it's a relieve to see her registering the fact that Scuttle gives her wrong information. Like, a lot. ;p

Also, Eric's reactions are sweet. ♥

Thank you! One of the hardest things was trying to get into that mature mind set. So much of Ariel I've always seen and read has her as that adventurous girl trying to get what she wanted, not already having it. I'm glad you liked it. :3
