I did my good deed of the day (well... month, actually) today: I went and donated half a liter of blood to the local Red Cross (it was my third time actually, I had donated twice in Finland last summer). Just came back from a party that was organized by the local 'international society', for want of a better term. It took place in one of the bars on campus, heavy drinking, dancing and shouting, you know how it goes. Made a couple of friends from Sweden, quite a few friends from the States, and a whole bunch of friends from Norway :o) Yeah, looks ( Read more... )

I just wanted to wish you all a fantastic midsummer's festival (better known as Jussi, or even Juhannus). It's going to be a while before I'll update again, but hey, what else is new :o) I'll get aboard the jet on monday and after that it's the great unknown... Well, unknown to me, at least.

Right. Last week I finally received my COE (or Confirmation of Enrollment) letter from Newcastle. I applied for a visa the second I received it, and got confirmation of the acceptance of the application the same day. If only they'd been as quick at the university as well ( Read more... )
