Well Elite XC primetime, has come and gone. And the sport is worse for it. Not only was biased officiating in the main event on full display, but another fighter, Kaitlyn Young, had a false medical stoppage steal her night. Yeah, after hearing about all the BS I'm glad my DVR screwed up & didn't record the fights.

They're all over the place on line if you want to see. Also Thompson's ear got largely severed and the cauliflower popped it was gory.

I really feel awful for Kaitlyn Young though, even if she was destined to lose (she wasn't, though), let the woman fuckin fight!

Sorry to hear about all of this - it sounds like some of the less pleasant characteristics of more traditional sports are coming to MMA. Hopefully this is a contained thing...

It's smaller outfit run by a former boxing promoter, and well, sadly he's running it like a boxing promotion.

I think the producers were going for "Wild! Bloody! Violent!" Instead they got "Amateurish! Badly officiated! Cartoonish!" It's a shame, because *no one* liked the event, not even the "average viewer" that the thing was aimed at. That doesn't bode well for the future of the sport.

Oh, and did you know that Kimbo named his son "Kevlar?" Just thought I'd share.

At least I know better than to waste my limited rental money on it when it hits DVD (I don't have cable or sattelite, there is so little on that is not inane anymore).

And yeah, it sucks that the alleged sensitivity of the average viewer stopped Kaitlyn's fight.
