My husband is on half a dozen maintenence meds. Thankfully, we are not forced to use mail order because Maryland says it's a monopoly and ain't legal.
But I was using them becuase I can get three months worth for only 2.5 copays. So, his cardiologist increases one med from 1 a day to 2 a day. When we refill his script (via fax) they send 90 pills. For 2.5 copays. I call. That's only 45 days worth. I should only pay 1.5 copays MAX. They tell me that the DR didn't increase the NUMBER of pills in a script, only the dosage so we only get what he orders and their fee is a FLAT 2.5 copays. Period. Even if we ordered monthly. WTF is up with that????
So I'm back using the local pharmacy. Screw the evil that is a prescription plan. Fuckers.
Yeah, that's part of my deal too. The one script I am waffling over renewing has a really weird sequence, depending on my blood count at my weekly (or every 2 weeks now) visit. So 3 months isn't really 3 months.
Hm. I wonder if I could just go buy some rat poison at the local hardware store. It would be cheaper than this bullshit. :)

Maybe try calling your doctor and see if he has any "samples" in the office to tide you over. A lot of drugs give the doctors freebies.
