Roy had managed to get his rather sore body out of bed after the small post. He had been waiting for a while, waiting for that certain golden eyed boy to reply. It had taken him a while, but a response was given, which made Roy happy. The floor felt oddly cold under his feet, probably because the heater hadn’t been on in a few days. That would explain why he was sore as hell as well.
Getting down the stairs wasn’t the easiest task either. He took his time and was halfway down when he heard the knock. Sighing, he hurried without stumbling and made his way to the door. He opened it and looked out into the night. Habit had him looking over the boy, then he looked down. “You got here quick.”
Ed didn't look up, he just took a deep breath and clung to Roy's middle, hiding his face in his stomach and trembling lightly. He was trying not to cry, but the initial shock, fall and rise again was making him quiver and curse at himself in his mind. He just wanted to hold onto him right now, because he wasn't sure what else he could say.
Roy blinked and kept looking down. The clinging was making his back hurt, but it seemed like Ed needed to do this. He wrapped his arms around the smaller boy in an awkward hug, smiling to himself. It had been worth the trip down the stairs.
“Unless you want me to get sick again, I think we should move this inside.”
Ed let go as soon as this was said, but still could not look up or speak, like a weight was set in his mouth. He shut the door behind him and replaced himself to holding onto Roy, firm, swallowing until something could come out.
