Matsuda got a shiver down his spine while backing up a bit away from him. He put up his hands slowly while chuckling nervously. He didn't want to get smacked by anything he had only been curious about the clothing. His dark eyes widened slightly as he blurted out.
"I come in PEACE! I didn't mean to be overly curious about the clothing all of a sudden.. it just that.. your appearance kind of frightened me! So I was only trying to get my mind off of that and the mystery door!" He talked hurriedly as he turned sideways to look at the door while shrugging slightly before looking back over at Sephiroth with a small smile
( ... )
Matsuda stopped suddenly on the stairs realizing that he had indeed didn't know. He chuckled nervously as he looked back behind him. "I guess you can take the lead then? Or give me directions so I know which way to go?"
He stared at him questioningly not knowing if he should continue the rest of the way up the stairs at least and then let the silver haired man lead or not. But he didn't want to be on the wrong floor either.
"Yes that is simple enough." Matsuda started up the stairs again quickly as he could easily remember where to go. Once he reached the first door he walked through it while waiting the for the taller man. He knew he wouldn't be able to lose him nor did he want to.
Matsuda waited for the man to take the lead instead. "You should be the first one to arrive at the door. It wouldn't be right I I knocked and Riku-chan opened to see me instead of you right away." He shrugged as he smiled slightly hoping that it had made some sense.
Taking his usual elongated strides, he passed by Matsuda. Turning his head back, his lips formed a smirk, although the rest of his face did not necessarily hold a warm expression. "I wonder about that. I am sure you have a way of shocking someone into silence. Even momentarily. But if you insist."
He walked down the hallway, searching out the door number he was searching for. He stopped in front of it, feeling that to to say he had found the door would be unnecessary.Reaching out with a gloved hand, he rapped gently on the door.
Matsuda blinked as he went up behind Sephiroth. He didn't know if he should be deadly afraid of him or just stay quiet. He chose to stay quiet for the mean time. He didn't want to frighten the other that was behind the door.
The police officer kept quiet and smiled as he felt his curiousness peek more. He started to feel a bit excited about how the other would react now that Sephiroth had brought the clothing.
Riku had been sitting in the corner of the hotel room, clothed in a towel and the bedsheets he had not so gently ripped off the bed. He'd been trying not to sulk, but being without clothes could do that to people, he thought, reasoning with himself.
When he heard the knock at the door, his eyes widened, almost gleefully. He stumbled on the bed sheet he had been using as cover, making his way to the door.
"Clothes." he said coolly. He wrapped himself tighter at the burst of cold air the hallway brought. Ecstatic he may be, he had to be at least somewhat reasonable. "Whatever. Come in first, then give me clothes."
Riku took the bundle of clothes from the taller gratefully. He gave a trademark smirk while replying "Sure."
He gave a glance over at the other man who had entered with the silver-haired elder. They seem like an unlikely combination, but who was he to say anything?
"You can relax in here I guess. I'll just go put these on first." he said directing his words at both the men.
Matsuda stayed along side the silver-haired man. He smiled slightly while making a small wave at the younger one. He wasn't really going to ask why he wasn't wearing any clothing. The police man shouldn't let his curiosity out too much but he was rather amused.
He nodded as he walked over to one of the chairs. He sat down in it. He wasn't sure what was gonna happen after this but he didn't mind. Better here then being bored.
He saw Matsuda sit down in a chair out of the corner of his eyes. He turned to face him, as it would most likely make further conversation easier on them.
He stood, rather than sit down as Matsuda had. Surely it wouldn't take a young male too long to change.
"I must thank you for your accompaniment, but seeing as the chore is nearly done, do you have anything in mind as what to do after? Another quest for strange items, wandering, games, it matters not to me." he stated, leaning against the wall, crossing his arms across his chest.
Matsuda chuckled slightly as he looked over towards the taller man. He hadn't fully decided what he wanted to do. He tilted his head in thought before smiling brightly.
"Maybe we could just go out for a walk? Ask questions and just talk and see where it goes from there. I'm actually kind of hungry.." He admitted shortly after his stomach growled making him flush slightly. He laughed nervously before shifting a bit in the chair.

He walked up the stairs to stand beside Matsuda. "Simple enough yes?" he asked blandly, giving Matsuda an inquisitive look.

Deciding to start the beginning of the end of his errand, he held out the bundle to Riku.
"Here, I believe this is what you wanted." he said blankly. "And there is little need to thank anyone."

"Food does seem like a good idea." He agreed, turning his head, albeit not the full way.
"Do you have any preferences when it comes to food?
