Meh, I was disappointed. Maybe I built it up too much in my mind.

I think they built it up too much. The whole season has been one big build to a crescendo, and then instead of a whole symphony going full out it was just a bit rate high school orchestra.

Yeah. They can play the plot twist game with the best of them. I just thought the climactic battle was a little anti-climactic.

IMO, tonight's episode was fun, but had no real option to be anything but unspectactular.

The main reasons have already been mentioned, the crescendo and the lack of a pretty, colorful, massive, explosion.

Saving the world is great and all, but once the threat is over, it's kind of a downer. "Cool! We saved the WORLD! Woo hoo!... yeah... guess I gotta go do my homework, cause I got school tomorrow...you know... cause it didn't blow up or anything."

I also have a hard time believing that no one would stop to think that maybe figuring out a way to decapitate Sylar would be a good idea. One run through with a sword, sheesh, like that would do it! How many times has this guy seemed to rise from the dead? I mean come on, this the super-evil-baddie who has messed with all of you, and has gotten away many times. You should have Ripped him to shredswhile you had the chance!

I really expected Hiro to complete his job with a slash to follow the thrust. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by a show that is trying, successfully, to outlost Lost.

And why couldn't Peter fly up there himself? Why did Nathan have to do that? Maybe he just tossed him up really high and flew away really quick, so they could both still be alive. Meh.
