Jul 02, 2008 17:07

So, Tauna's been in the hospital over a week now.  She briefly had a private delivery room with a little more privacy, but they needed it because they had a rush of births and sent her back to the Intermediate care unit with it's shared bathroom and curtain separated spaces ( Read more... )

I am so NOT naming him Xerxes Xerxes Xarya. ANd that's final. Oh yeah, and the girl names, probably not the best idea.

Xingbat? Xabat? That's too much like Labat...where I work...

I think if you're going on that route, Xeraph, Xorn, Xerin, Xander, Xebastian, Xephyrus, Xain, Xevin, or Xurich might do better than some of those...

Well, think about the initials. XEX or XAX or XOOX or XIX. Stay away from XUX. or think about his name as a roman numeral. XLIX = 49, XIX = 19, XLX = 50, XMX = 1000, XVX = 15. XDX = 500.

I have thought about the initials quite a bit. Too much, actually. Roman numerals: XCIX = 99, XXIX = 29, XDIX = 449, XMIX = 999.
Also, XIOX = XΦX. This is probably my favorite combo.

If you really want to get crazy, XAVIOX = X[unicursal hexagram]ΦX and XAIOVX = X[spades]Φ[hearts]X. In fact, I= wands, A = spades=swords, V = cups, O = disks.
Then there's XIAOX as in X-IAO-X.

XLUX or XLVX isn't bad.

Ozymandias works, because then he has a nickname option other than "Xerx".

Somehow, I imagine it'd be spelled "Xerc". Either that or they'd just call him "X".

Middle Names for X sirbilla July 8 2008, 13:02:15 UTC
I know that this is not the line of naming that you're after but Bri and I started joking around calling him Frank last night when we heard he was a foot long. It was cute. But Francis was your grandmother's middle name and XFX works pretty well as intials. Just a thought. Frank still makes me giggle.

I would love to come visit but I've been fighting off a bit of a cold since last week and I am not going to bring that to you, Tauna and X.

Love you guys.

You'd better email her first though. To make sure she's not sleeping our getting test in another part or the hospital. 7dragonz at gmail.

I should mention the top (and otherwise) contenders:

Lucien, Orion, Corvin, Sebastian, Octavius, Ra, Israfel, Uriel, Xander, Xavier, Alevander*?, Evander*?, Lysander*?, Zephyrus*?, Ozymandias*, Zadkiel*?, Vespasian*, Astraeus*

(*-certified Tauna-dis-approved)

Two or more middle names is fine, too...

How about I switch my vote to Sebastian Corvus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corvus_(constellation)

I like Lucien. It's easy to spell and is more conventional. It sounds Continental, too. ]

I don't like the XXX thing...sounds like a dirty, sticky theater full of nasty old men in raincoats.
