Interesting enough, as the weekend gets closer and closer, I'm getting more relaxed about this recital. I tend to have everyone's support. And for the most part, I'm feeling really confident with the music. I've got the Brahms pretty-much covered, AND Brandy & I played the entire Dahl duet for the first time through...ever tonight. So after 4 hr, 22 min of practicing today, I've got the Brahms pretty much performance-ready, minus nearly 4 lines in the 3rd Movement. Sutermeister is playable. Yay, i feel productive! So tonight I focused on the Sutermeister, which is THE piece that scares me half to death! Eek! Mostly b/c it's just me, unaccompanied...on an unfamiliar horn. Nothing new in the post-Thanksgiving world. The holiday was wonderful, and I spent all-day with my family & friends of the family. Yesterday evening we went to see a movie called Derailed.
