Mess Hall stuffs.

I'm not sure how many people I've mentioned this too, but one of the things that heavily informs my playing of Minagawa is my real-life experience working in a cafe/restaurant, the kitchen of a boarding school, attending a boarding school, girl guide camp and most recently working in my parent's tearooms. I've been taking for granted that people ( Read more... )

We had to store him that one time.

He died this one time, and no one ever buried him. Gil is probably still in there as well.

Yeah for a while there before we had cooks campers just kept shoving bodies in there. And then we kind of forgot to ever take them back out.

This all makes sense to me, but I've got a bit of bias in favor of a pro-kitchen set up too so other people may disagree? I dunno.

Though I am reminded that I wanted to ask the chefs about getting Tohru in as a cleaning assistant for the mess hall. I dunno if they have any yet, but she's the type to want a job, so! I mean, played out IC and all, but I figured I'd check if it was even an option first, y'know?

Well, I forgot to mention, but there are other kitchens around camp with less stringent rules and stuff, so if people absolutely hate the roster idea, they've got those as a fall-back. But really, we're prepared to be flexible, so hopefully it won't be a problem to anyone.

And absolutely yes! Writing this up I was all 'wtf, we're way under-staffed. How did this happen?' so yeah, Tohru would be welcomed with open arms.

Yeah, that's true. I'm pretty sure there's one in the dorms and . . . I used to know more of them but I've forgotten now.

Awesome! I'll have her hit up one of you guys about it once the comm's back up.

One in the dorms, one in the chapel and one in the Newlywed cabin -- that's Lee's cabin, right? Also Hakkai somehow manages to cook, not exactly sure where -- he might have a mini oven in his hospital room.

Sounds great.

Ah, thanks! This is really helpful for me, since I wasn't quite clear on the Mess Hall schedule, Hisui's duties, etc.

You win for making thiiiiiiis~ ♥

Anyway, Wakaba's talked to Sanji about using the roster for the kitchen and stuff. She isn't a world-class cook or anything, but she probably wouldn't mind helping out the kitchen staff here and there, especially once she's been here for a while and starts getting bored.

That's awesome. As I have said already, more helpers would be of the win.

This is a wonderful thing to come back from Christmas shopping from. This is amazing, and helps me out a LOT.

I'll leave a note here that Sanji recently agreed to show Bulma how cooking is done, and he'll have her all decked out whenever she comes by, usually to help out during a meal. It'll probably be a bit uh...bothersome at first (until she actually learns how to cook and stay out of the way) but it won't be a daily occurance. He'll definitely keep her in line in the nicest of ways.

Also Sanji canonly can make just about anything damn fast and damn tasty. With even sub-par ingredients. However Tuesday's soup... not so much.

Any problems with how I've been playing it? Really he should have an EASIER time cooking in camp than he does on a pirate ship, so...

Oh! Also I thought there was a chocolate well down in the storage area too?

I'm so glad it's being received well!

That's cool -- I don't think one novice would be hard to work around, and the staff will have enough experience working together by now to be able to carry Bulma while she's learning.

Yeah, Tuesday's soup. I should have made a note to the effect that while Tuesday's soup is never going to be safe, the rest of the food is good quality and high standard. My explanation of the soup is that whatever Minagawa makes on Tuesday's, it comes out as Mystery soup. No matter what. What's your take on it, if you have one?

None whatsoever! (And thanks for the Mess Hall post the other day -- I'd just got back from working at the tearooms, and kitchen stuff was the last thing I wanted to deal with. Otherwise I'd have been all for that.)

And I thought the chocolate well was under the Mess Hall, but someone told Usagi it wasn't, so I'm thinking maybe my sources were wrong. I've got no idea.

That's how I've been playing Tuesday's Soup as well. If he turns his head or blinks or anything when he looks back it's suddenly a pot of soup. I can even imagine Sanji doing his best to not look away (and then the mini-Stans will come around and mess with him or something).

Well, did they tell her ICly or OOCly? Because I think some characters may not think it's in the storeroom ICly? But maybe I should ask around OOCly.
