Mess Hall stuffs.

I'm not sure how many people I've mentioned this too, but one of the things that heavily informs my playing of Minagawa is my real-life experience working in a cafe/restaurant, the kitchen of a boarding school, attending a boarding school, girl guide camp and most recently working in my parent's tearooms. I've been taking for granted that people ( Read more... )

This all makes sense to me, but I've got a bit of bias in favor of a pro-kitchen set up too so other people may disagree? I dunno.

Though I am reminded that I wanted to ask the chefs about getting Tohru in as a cleaning assistant for the mess hall. I dunno if they have any yet, but she's the type to want a job, so! I mean, played out IC and all, but I figured I'd check if it was even an option first, y'know?

Well, I forgot to mention, but there are other kitchens around camp with less stringent rules and stuff, so if people absolutely hate the roster idea, they've got those as a fall-back. But really, we're prepared to be flexible, so hopefully it won't be a problem to anyone.

And absolutely yes! Writing this up I was all 'wtf, we're way under-staffed. How did this happen?' so yeah, Tohru would be welcomed with open arms.

Yeah, that's true. I'm pretty sure there's one in the dorms and . . . I used to know more of them but I've forgotten now.

Awesome! I'll have her hit up one of you guys about it once the comm's back up.

One in the dorms, one in the chapel and one in the Newlywed cabin -- that's Lee's cabin, right? Also Hakkai somehow manages to cook, not exactly sure where -- he might have a mini oven in his hospital room.

Sounds great.

There's a mini kitchen in Hakkai and Gojyo's hospital room, yes! And I think he uses the chapel kitchen for breakfast with Gwendal, Wolfwood, and the others? (or he used to, anyway).

Also! If you need more people working in the kitchens, I'd be more than willing to offer Tokitoh up for cleaning assistant or whathaveyou, since he's been trying to get a job for a while, anyway. |D

You know, I might just have Minagawa put up a 'help wanted' notice on the noticeboard once we're all back in business, but yes, Tokitoh would be useful.

I'll be sure to throw him at you when that happens, then!

Coolness. As a note, I think Minagawa'd want to raise the matter ICly with Izumi first, so it might take a few days for me to catch Izumi-mun at an opportune time (also I think she just went on hiatus, oops).

Ahh, no worries on that! We need to get back the comm first, I guess, so just take your time to sort out stuff and all that.

Oh yeah, the comm. I keep forgetting that.

Thirding this - Anita wouldn't mind a job, if only to keep busy and make a little extra cash. She's okay at cleaning and cooking, although more to keep herself alive than actually being good at it and stuff.
