I, Franziska von Karma, request information on the following, should you possess it:

  • The scientists, their intentions, and their interactions with any citizens of Discedo;
  • The 'chips' that many claim have been implanted within us upon our arrival;
  • The multitude of deranged men who are parading around pretending to be countries;
As always, I ( Read more... )

(Oh, she sees him there, and miraculously is able to refrain from making any sort of comment, sensing that it would be - among other things - counter-productive and antagonistic.)

[This is Miles contacting her some time waaaay after this post. Like, maybe the next day, perhaps (see the comment date 8|).]

Franziska. I assume your living arrangements are treating you well?

As well as any arrangements in this dilapidated city could do, yes.

(...)

I trust things are much the same with you?

The chips that are put in ya, basically block any power ya might have that aint natural. like super powers, or magic, or stuff like that.

(Sorry, Raphael, Franziska's still a bit disbelieving about this whole superpower thing, and is unable to keep the vestiges of doubt from her voice:)

I see. And everyone's implanted with one of these? No exceptions?

(Tis ok, Raph wouldn't believe it either if he hadn't met superheroes before)

Far as I know, yup, whether you got powers or not, they put one in you, no clue why, maybe they're a way to keep track or something. May be a way to control us as well, I vaguely remember atleast one instance where those chipped were affected by something, that those not chipped weren't affected by.

Oh? And what happened in that instance?

'd like information 'bout the countries too.

The scientists, accordin' ta the guide, wanted us ta repopulate this planet, bu' 'm not completely sure what they want.

...He wouldn't tell me anythin' new.

By calling them 'the countries,' you're only encouraging their delusions.

(...)

As for the scientists, I've heard that theory, too, but nothing yet to verify it. Has anyone heard that from the scientists directly?

(lock; 75%)

Did you ask him all the questions I told you to ask?

[voice; english] snipers_shot March 9 2010, 00:50:28 UTC
I dunno what else ta call 'em.

Not tha' I know of, bu' if ya find someone who has, lemme know.

[Lock|50%]

I did. He said he wasn't gonna say anythin' ta me. Maybe ya should try. Ya seem much... better at somethin' like this.

You can call them what they are - severely disturbed individuals with potentially dangerous complexes.

So where did you first hear this theory, then?

(lock; 75%)

If I had any prior ties to the situation, I would not hesitate to do so, but I think someone with whom he had previously associated would be in the best position to extract information.

(...)

Are you certain you asked him properly?

The chips make everyone human, and the countries are countries.

What do you want to know about the scientists?

Reply

vonkarmic March 9 2010, 01:00:48 UTC
That's a rather overly simplified explanation.

(...)

Any sort of information you have on them would be helpful, of course.

The chips surpress any qualities that aren't obtainable by the average human. Your strengths are reduced to what it would be if you were human, so if you were really strong or fast, you might still be strong or fast, but it will be to scale of human limitations.

I've seen the memories of one of the countries before. When something happens to the land they're part of, they're injured or sick. They essentially are their countries.

There are an unknown number of them, but only a handful seem to grace us with their presence. Occasionally, some of them disappear, and one of them was killed by one of us before, but the scientists didn't revive him. A kid named Ed Elric would probably know more about them than I would.

So what effect would the chips have on those who do not have any sort of powers, if any?

(...)

What do you mean, you've 'seen' their memories?

(...)

I see. And where might I get into touch with him?

My contacts with the scientists show indications of madness. One seems quite insane, and the other rather enjoys our plight.

vonkarmic March 9 2010, 02:39:45 UTC
While that doesn't surprise me, one wonders how they managed to pull off such a grand scheme with such infirmities. Which ones have you spoken to?

Reply

witchoftheweek March 9 2010, 02:43:08 UTC
Two of them; I do not know their names.

vonkarmic March 9 2010, 05:20:22 UTC
Did they disclose any other potentially pertinent information?
