i went to a going-away thing today.  not so much of a going-away thing as a 'sorry-you're-getting-deported' thing.  funny sounding, not as funny in reality.

sweet.  hittin' my second or third wind...i've only got two more weeks of classes, and then i can have a real summer!

Whoa, who's getting deported?

I'm in Arlington, Virginia now at the same conference I went to two years ago and it is freaking amazing...but it makes me miss and feel really grateful for all the people I knew at PRISM and the chance to be creative and try stuff out there. I was in Michigan last weekend apartment hunting in Ann Arbor. We signed on a place in a big complex...it's pretty nice, we're pretty excited about the price we got it for...I thought Michigan was startlingly green and lush after so long in Colorado and that was awesome. I still need to find a job...

I never replied to your text because we were in town for like, three hours, during which we accomplished a ton of errands and then left because we were flying out. I really want to get together with you, though. Lorelei and I were just talking about how much we miss you.

I hope things continue to go pretty well and that you feel like you're getting some "summer time" out of your summer before fall semester rolls around again!

well, i'm not sure if it's really deportation, but alex didnt get his residency, so he's leaving for spain tomorrow morning. :(
sad day.
i'm in class so i cant write too much, but i hope i get a chance to talk to you soon!
i'll be in michigan next month, so maybe we can meet up

i have no idea. for now, richard's staying.
alex can apply for a student visa for one year but that involves proving he isnt planning on staying. or he can stay in spain a few years and apply for permanent residency again later.
they also said don't even think about getting married - because it would be obvious now.
but we still offered kat as a wife.
