I am now two graduation ceremonies short of my Master of Mathematics.

I will be doing a PhD in Model Theory at the University of Leeds starting 1 September, supervised by John Truss and Dugald Macpherson. I'm off to a summer school there 18-23 July to learn about the state of the subject and look for accomodation.

First class honours to me!

I'm almost certainly not graduating, so that I can more cheaply take a fourth year MMath.

Here is a question sheet I wrote, for anyone interested. It's quite elementary, but fast-paced. Questions/corrections welcome.

I may possibly be talking at the UK IMO team training camp at Trinity over Easter. I will be doing one of the following topics in an elementary manner. People who want me to practice on them are welcome to ask. Only comfort with secondary-level mathematics is necessary, though some experience with competitive mathematics will be of use ( Read more... )

Hmm. Should have done better. Oh well.

Specifically, I will be working, if things go to plan, with Imre Leader on The Neighbourhood Conjecture. I am getting 1/5 or so of the money I'd get on an internship, and I may have a high probability of proving absolutely nothing [original], but oh well!
