Thanks for coming out last night. There's no need to read 'Ulysses', I watched the cartoon in the eighties and can tell you everything that happened. It was especially sad when the female No-no robot died.

Did you keep that paper towel that was touched by the hand of Dave McKean? You never know, might make good ebay fodder!

(nods) I was just trying to find the bit where said character celebrates his thirty-first birthday and leaves pre-WW1 Dublin to go and have adventures in outer space. I suppose I never will know the answer to that mystery now.

Unfortunately no, I can't remember what happened to the towel in the end - I'd have to assume I threw it away, then sulked off to look embarassed in a corner somewhere. It's a great story though, because it illustrates McKean's 'organic' approach to creating imagery.
