I'm putting together a rec post for ds_recsredux and I desperately want to include your "Things I'll Never Say" vid. I think it's hilarious and awesome and I cannot find a link to it in your tags here or on your website. Is there any way people can access it? Seriously, it's comedy gold *and* poignant. I agree with you. One of the things that got me hooked in the anime was that scene when Himiko tells Ginji that Ban killed her brother and he doesn't even blink - there isn't a second of wavering in his trust. I have once read a review that said that "they've constructed their entire lives around the other's presence, to the point where "emotional dependency" doesn't cut it as a description" XD

Oh, that scene with Himiko was just... so brilliant. I remember the first time I watched it, getting excited, wondering how it was going to be handled and just being blown away by how Ginji managed to make naive, blind trust look completely reasonable when it came to Ban, in comparison to Himiko's miguided - yet still better informed - hatred of him.

Ha! That review said it perfectly! Do you happen to remember where you read it? I'd be interested to have a look...

It was so surprising, wasn't it? When I saw the scene for the first time I was expecting the cliché reaction - shock, doubts over their friendship, blah, blah, blah... and bam! Ginji blew us away! XD
