oh, cool! it's so awesome to hear about people making it with photography. I've sorta given up for now, partially 'cause I'm tired/busy all the time, but also 'cause my new-a-year-ago camera is on the fritz, and I've been putting off getting it taken care of. :-\

I haven't even mentioned the little gig to my mom yet. I sorta think I'll wait 'til we know more (venue, # tix/person, date) before I pitch it to her. she'd be here in a second, though.

I already knew from getting those news google alerts, but I was waiting until I heard when it was, and if it's feasible for me to make it. I say yes, pretty please, assuming I can actually swing the timing. And yes, I'm ba-ack!

Your timing is impeccable -- we just got details today. It's next Wed (the 13th) at the Bowery Ballroom (498 capacity). No word on tickets yet, but there'll probably be a fan club presale, and probably 2 tix/person. I've already taken the day off work, but you'll be on your own getting here -- I'll be here as early as I can bear. Whaddya think?

thanks! and mwahaha, strength in numbers! they're really fantastic live -- obviously I'm biased at this point, but I think they're totally worth traveling a few hours. *steeples fingers*

no word as far as I know. I think the general assumption is that it'll be between the Glasgow shows (which were either the 4th and 5th or 5th and 6th) and Bonnaroo, or maybe right afterward? so... fingers crossed, basically. there are gaps in most of the venue schedules around that time, so nothing conclusive there, plus I don't really know what qualifies as "small club" to them/their booking dude. (I'm reminded of NIN's "small club" tour, during which they played Hammerstein. neither small, nor a club!)
