Karal was hungry. He never did have breakfast after his ride this morning, and he'd been so engrossed in reading, lunch had passed him by without him noticing

Seely was hungry, and he could smell chocolate. It was even better luck that the smell was coming from Aravis and Karal's room. "Hey."

Aravis practically leapt off her bed, giggling and going over to give him a kiss hello. "Hi!"

"Hey you," Seely grinned and bent to return the kiss. "Someone's in a good mood."

"We have brownies! Which I did not know about because you never told me they existed, but they are like tiny chocolate cakes, and they're very good," she told him happily.

"Brownies usually are very good. Are you high on sugar again?" Seely asked.

"I think possibly," she said, nodding. "But it is very nice and warm and I missed you and you look nice today and I love you and your hair looks soft."

"I love you too," Seely murmured. "My hair looks soft?"

[notqueenyet]

"It does," she decided, reaching up to pet his hair.

Seely let himself be petted. "Did you want me to sit so you can reach easier?"

"Oooh, yes, sit and I can sit in your lap and play with your hair!" she said, nodding.

"Yes, yes you can," Seely agreed, tugging her towards the bed.

Aravis followed along happily. "I like today."

Seely sat on the edge of the bed, attempting to pull her into his lap. "Do you now?"

"I do!" she said, sitting and immediately reaching a hand up to play with his hair.

Seely grinned and tilted his head to kiss her wrist. "Any particular reasons?"

"Chocolate! And soft hair. And your lap."

Aravis thought he had been listening.
