In case you were curious, I'm back up to speed on the word count for NaNo (1667 words. A Day. Yikes!) There was no one at the write-in at Starbucks, so I migrated to Panera where the wireless is actually free. Spent the afternoon on a lovely walk in the autumn woods by the South River, and home to chili not made by me (that makes it taste so much

I am trying to anchor the thing more, since I can't rely on everyone just knowing what the Zocalo or C&C looks like already. I'm coming up on a scene where they actually go sight-seeing. Too much of that I think, but it's useful stuff to know even if it eventually ends up on the cutting room floor. And very useful when it comes to churning out words

Oooh, this is good! I hope you'll continue to post your "snippets" as you go along. I didn't think there was too much exposition or repetition.

When I saw that little photo in your post, I thought it was "Jack Harkness" (since you mentioned him later). Pretty close resemblance in profile like that.

Thank you! I will post if possible. Its sops up almost all my 'spare' time to get the 1667 words done each day. I hate falling behind; last year I was behind from day one and never caught up.
That picture is amazing; but who hit poor James? Also I think they were amazingly spot on with Scotty and Uhura.
Next Sunday is the galpalficathon and I have two pieces ready (and a third which is a related to one of the two, but not as response to a prompt.) That icon you use of Delenn and Lyta was inspiration for the third story, the 'lean on me' one.
Now I'll go look at that pic a little bit more...I wonder if they'll show Bones' ex, and his little girl, in the movie?
